Cross-Dresser / Cross-Dressing

Cross-dresser is a term for a person who wears clothing, presentation, or styles traditionally associated with another gender. Cross-dressing can be part of personal expression, performance, comfort, exploration, or intimacy; its meaning depends on the individual.

Cross-dressing does not by itself determine someone's gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship style, or interests. It is also distinct from drag performance and from being transgender, although a person may use more than one word to describe different parts of their experience.

If someone shares this part of themselves privately, discretion means allowing them to choose when, where, and with whom that information is shared.
