DTF

DTF is shorthand for “down to fuck.” In dating or lifestyle conversations, people may use it to signal sexual openness or a preference for being direct about their interest.

In a swinging context, the phrase does not automatically mean that someone is interested in every situation, every person, or every pace. It also does not replace the conversations that make ethical non-monogamy work well. A label can open a conversation; it cannot settle compatibility for the people involved.

The important part is how someone follows through. Clear communication, respect for boundaries, and ongoing consent matter whether an introduction is playful, direct, or more reserved. People can be open-minded and still selective, take their time, or change their mind.
