Caning

Caning is a form of consensual impact play that uses a cane or similar implement to create sensation. People may be drawn to its ritual, sound, intensity, or place within a negotiated power dynamic. It is not interchangeable with every other kind of impact play, and individual tolerance can vary considerably.

Careful agreements are more useful than assumptions about intensity. Consent and a clear hard limit establish what will not happen, while aftercare offers a chance to reconnect and respond to physical or emotional needs after an intense experience.
