Discipline

In a consensual kink or power-exchange context, discipline refers to an agreed approach to rules, accountability, correction, or structure. It can be emotional, practical, ritualized, or symbolic. It does not mean one person has unlimited authority over another, and it should never be used to excuse coercion, humiliation outside an agreement, or harm.

Healthy discipline has a stated purpose and a way to be reconsidered. Boundaries make the limits visible, while communication gives both people room to say when an agreement no longer fits. An adult Dom/Sub relationship depends on that continuing choice.
