Dungeon Master

Dungeon Master is a title that may be used differently from one community or venue to another. In some settings, it refers to a host, organizer, educator, or experienced person associated with a BDSM space. In others, it is simply a chosen title within a power dynamic. It does not automatically indicate authority over everyone in a room.

Asking a venue how it uses the title is the clearest way to understand its practical meaning. A Dungeon Master is not the same as a Dungeon Monitor, whose role is typically focused on venue safety and conduct. Whatever title someone uses, personal consent and boundaries remain individual decisions.
