Rigger

A rigger is a person who creates or manages consensual rope or restraint scenes. The word is often used in rope-bondage communities, where the rigger may focus on aesthetics, sensation, connection, or a negotiated power dynamic. It is a role, not a claim of authority over another person.

Trust in a rigger should grow from openness, competence, and respect for limits rather than reputation alone. The person being tied remains an active participant with the right to speak up, pause, or stop. Consent and clear communication are more important than any label or level of experience.
